On Sunday, July 15, the Harvard Clubs of Eastern New York, Fairfield County, Northeast Ohio, Northern Connecticut, Rhode Island, Southern Connecticut, Westchester County, and Western Massachusetts will be hosting a joint event for alumni during the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer season at Tanglewood.
We will gather at 12:30 pm for conversation over a bring-your-own picnic lunch. The clubs will provide soft drinks and dessert. The concert will begin at 2:30, with Music Director Andris Nelsons, pianist Yuja Wang, vocal soloist Rafi Bellamy Plaice, and the BSO performing Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, Italian; Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1; and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms.
Registration for all eight clubs' members will be centralized on the Harvard Club of Fairfield County website, and is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 14 and under, including soft drinks and dessert. You must have a concert ticket (either shed or lawn) to access the Harvard meet-up location, which is not included in registration for the Harvard gathering.
